Interesting article. I actually DO believe that Democrats care more for women then Republicans though. That’s clear just by the policies that Republicans and the religious right push.
My only guess is that they don’t view any of this behavior as a trampling of women’s rights, because they don’t view birth control access as a right. They can’t view it as taking away rights if they think women shouldn’t have them in the first place.
